Sunscreem
Website: www.music-village.com
Pioneers of the dance explosion in 1990 with The Shamen and The Prodigy, Sunscreem broke the mould of the standard club PA by performing with a full live band and elaborate visuals at raves, free parties and clubs. Their ability to write classic songs fuelled the fire. They signed a major record deal after only 6 shows and the accolades started to pour in - MixMag Award for Best Newcomer, NME Favourite College Band - even Best Scottish Dance Act (not bad for a band from Essex, England). The single ‘Love U More’ hit number one in all three UK Dance Charts soon afterwards, a success that was repeated in the US Billboard dance chart. The release of “Perfect Motion” with its infectious hook sealed their place in dance music history and is still a classic end-of-the-night club record. In 1996 the massive US club hit “Looking At You” cemented their reputation on the circuit scene and received an ASCAP award for best dance record. To date the band have released 5 albums and over 200 tracks and remixes. Their singles have consistently charted around the world whilst they have toured for 12 years, playing over 500 shows to hundreds of thousands of people.
